Chutney is something I’ve grown up with, most often homemade with fresh produce straight from our suburban garden veggie patch. Chutney is a brilliant solution to a glut of fruit and veg that needs using up or alternatively or if you’re buying ingredients in just follow the seasons for the best quality and value, fruit and vegetables

This recipe has a Christmas feel with the addition of port and spices but will go down well with a chunk of cheese and biscuits any day in my books.
